We’re supporting Change4Life

Did you know that if we carry on as we are, 9 out of 10 of today’s kids risk growing up with dangerous levels of fat in their bodies? This can cause serious illnesses like heart disease, cancer and type 2 diabetes in later life. So it’s really important that we all get together and do something about it, now.

That’s why JumpStart is supporting Change4Life. It’s a nationwide movement which aims to help us all, but especially our kids, eat well, move more and live longer. And to make this happen, Change4Life needs people who work within local communities to help spread the word.

Look out for our Jump n Jig dance class starting in June…this new event is aimed at pre-school children and their grown-ups, encouraging them to dance together using props, song and music.  Classes will provide opportunities for families to be active together, developing their imaginations, physical abilities and confidence along the way.  Jump n Jig will take place at The Merton Primary School in Syston on Wednesday afternoons.
